Aluminium Mobile Towers
We offer you a versatile range of ALUMINIUM MOBILE TOWERS to provide you with an extensive choice of access work platforms, from construction to home handyman, from industrial uses to entertainment.
Aluminium "rib-gripped" towers are fast to erect, safe to use and quick to transport, ensuring you reach your work area with a minimum of fuss.
 SINGLE WIDTH (SW) TOWERS with adjustable platform heights up a smaller work platform is required shafts, alleys, etc.
O.76m wide frame x 3m1 2.4m or I .8m long to 7.2m standard. This type of tower is ideal where due to work type of access to area - e.g.. corridors,
DOUBLE WIDTH (DW) TOWERS I .37m wide frame x 3m 2.4m or I .8m long with adjustable platform heights to suit your requirements. ideal for an external or internal building maintenance - e.g.. painting, electrical, ducting, etc.
SQUARE TOWERS
Base size 3m, 2.4m or 1 .8m squared. Working platform heights up to 9m fully mobile and free standing. Square towers are ideal where large working areas are required for overhead work - e.g. ceiling installation, sprinkler work, etc.
FOLD-A-FRAME
The dimensions of FOLD-A-FRAME are as per DW scaffolds. The unique feature of this type of tower is its ability to fold and fit through a manhole or similar. It is ideal for boiler and tank maintenance and will help you to reduce shutdown times - e.g. power stations, petrochemicals, tank farms,
shipbuilding/marine, etc.
VX FOLDING BASE
This is fold-out base unit. It simply opens out from a compact 25cm to give you a mobile tower 2.Om high. The VX FOLDING BASE is ideal where low level work is required and loose parts can be a problem~ e.g. shopping malls, hospitals, foyer and libraries, etc.
TRUSS BASE FRAME (Pat. No.525719)
This is a unique base unit, 3m x 3m, which allows you to locate a DW scaffold in various positions on the base and still have a platform height of 9m. (2.4m x 2.4m Base Unit also available - platform height 7.2m) You save on materials, erection and delivery time and still have a fully mobile, versatile aluminium tower. This is ideal where high overhead repair work is required but a large platform is not
CASTOR WHEELS
Instant Scaffolds provide two standard "Swivel" type castor wheels with over-centre" foot brakes for extra safety and ease of manoeuvring. The 125mm diameter wheel has a rubber tyre. The 200mm castor is a heavy duty wheel (220kg SWL) and has a polyurethane tyre which does not leave unsightly marks on expensive floor under load. Base plates are also available for static towers.
ADJUSTABLE LEGS
The unique leg lock and heavy duty aluminium screw leg gives Instant towers the edge when it comes to levelling the base for uneven surfaces. The leg lock enables speedy adjustment to the required extension.
BRACES
The diagonal and horizontal braces which hold the aluminium towers rigidly together come complete with no-clog snap-on hooks for speed and safety. No tools are required.
PLATFORMS
Instant Scaffolds work platforms are constructed of unique anti-slip exterior ply decking to give long lasting and hard wearing life, plus aluminium box sections for strength and lightness. There are two platform types. STANDARD and WALKTHROUGH. The WALKTHROUGH has a sturdy swing-over trap door for use as a ladder access.
INTERLOCK CLIPS
All frames are complete with interlock dips which are used to ensure the frame above is physically held in place.
ACCESS LADDERS
Access to the work platform must be made from the inside of the tower. Access ladders, using the world proven D-rung design, simply clip into place, on the inside of the tower to give safe access to work platform.
TOEBOARDS
To complete the work platform, strong, lightweight and all in one toeboards are provided, which simply fold out and lock into place on the work platform.
OUTRIGGERS. MOBILE OUTRIGGERS, RAKER BRACES and other forms of bracing
are used for stabilisation, subject to the relevant regulations of each State. Advise is readily available from Instant Scaffolds.
